Pet Photography

Capturing The Personality Behind The Paws

Our animals are never just pets. They’re companions, family members, adventure partners and a part of the everyday moments that make a house feel like home.

Photography has been a hobby and creative passion of mine for many years. Over that time, I’ve found myself continually drawn to photographing animals and the natural world — capturing the small details, expressions and fleeting moments that tell a story without needing words.

Combining this long-standing love of photography with my professional experience working with animals felt like a natural extension of Coastal Animal Care.

Photography During Your Pet's Care

Pet photography is currently available exclusively as an optional add-on to overnight pet sitting bookings.

One of the greatest advantages of photographing your pet during an overnight stay is time.

There’s no unfamiliar studio, no rushed photography session and no pressure for your pet to immediately perform for the camera. Instead, I have the opportunity to photograph them once they have become comfortable with me and while they are enjoying their normal routine in familiar surroundings.

Throughout my stay, I can capture portraits and candid moments naturally — whether that's during a walk, exploring outside, relaxing at home, playing with a favourite toy or simply being themselves.

Natural. Patient. Unhurried.

My professional background in animal care, behaviour, wildlife and animal observation allows me to approach animal photography with patience and an understanding that every animal is different.

There is no expectation that your pet needs to sit perfectly, look directly at the camera or perform on command.

Instead, I work around them.

Energetic, shy, curious, elderly, independent or wonderfully chaotic — their personality is part of what makes the photographs special.

Having the additional time provided by an overnight stay also means I can wait for those little moments that can be difficult to create during a traditional photography session.

The Little Things Worth Remembering

The muddy paws. The crooked ears. The grey appearing around their muzzle. The favourite toy that goes everywhere. The expression you recognise instantly. The way they look at you when they think you aren't watching.

These are the ordinary little details that become extraordinary memories.

Your photography package provides a collection of professionally edited images from your pet's stay, giving you something lasting to enjoy long after you've returned home.

Add Photography to Your Stay

Photography packages can be added when arranging an eligible Coastal Animal Care overnight pet sitting service.

Photographs are captured at suitable opportunities throughout my stay with your pet, allowing for natural, unhurried portraits without the pressure of a traditional photoshoot.

What's the difference between my usual pet updates and a Photography Collection?

You'll still receive regular photo updates of your pets as part of their overnight care. Photography Collections are an optional premium service featuring intentionally photographed, carefully selected and individually edited high-resolution portraits captured throughout your pet's stay.

For multi-pet households, the selected image allowance is shared between the animals included in the booking.
